Most people associate marketing with increased sales, revenue growth, offers, and tactics. Most times that is correct but in our roles as long-term partners for all of our clients marketing means so much more. There is no better example of this than our partners at Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center.

Wabash & Lake - Proud Marketing Partners with CFBOC

We are incredibly honored to have the opportunity to support the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center (CFBOC) in its transformative School Pantry Program. Witnessing the impact of this initiative at Hening Elementary has been nothing short of inspiring, and we're proud to play a small part in making a meaningful difference in our local community.

The recent rollout of the School Pantry Program is more than just a program—it's a powerful testament to what can happen when a community unites with purpose and compassion. With over 55% of Chesterfield County Public School students relying on free or reduced-price lunches, the need is real, and the solution is both simple and profound.

"No child should have to worry about their next meal, especially when they're trying to learn, said Janna Eubank, Client Services Manager at Wabash & Lake. “Seeing the school pantry program in action at Hening Elementary reminds us that great marketing isn't just about messaging—it's about supporting initiatives that make a real difference in people's lives."

Through this program, CFBOC is doing more than providing food. They're providing hope. By partnering with local leaders, school officials, and community organizations, they're ensuring that no child has to worry about where their next meal will come from. From stocking pantries with nutritious food and essential hygiene items to expanding weekend meal programs, every action is designed to help students focus on learning instead of hunger.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony at Hening Elementary was a powerful moment that symbolized more than just the opening of a school pantry. It represented our collective commitment to caring for our community's most vulnerable members. As the CFBOC team and local leaders gathered, the message was clear: this is just the beginning of a larger mission to create a hunger-free Chesterfield County.

Shelly Perkins, Operations Director & Client Care Specialist at Wabash and Lake, shared: " Working on behalf of CFBOC and helping feed the hungry is truly an honor. We are deeply inspired by the ten schools already participating in the School Pantry Program." Here are those 10 schools:

Chesterfield Recovery Academy

Falling Creek Middle School

A.M. Davis Elementary School

Matoaca High School

Hening Elementary School

Thomas Dale High School (both campuses)

Salem Church Middle School

Carver Middle School

Matoaca Middle School

Hopkins Elementary School

The power of this program lies not just in its reach, but in its collaborative spirit. By working with Communities In Schools, local churches, and nonprofit organizations, CFBOC is creating a network of support that truly embodies the phrase "it takes a village."

We invite everyone in our community to join this critical mission. Whether through donations, volunteering, or advocacy, every contribution matters. Together, we can ensure that no child in Chesterfield County faces hunger alone.
